Pritul Vachhani wins first ever Delta-V Scholar Capstone Award for Winter 2025
Spacebourne Names Pritul Vachhani Recipient of the Inaugural Delta-V Capstone Award
Spacebourne Inc. is proud to announce Pritul Vachhani as the first-ever recipient of the Delta-V Capstone Award, the company's highest recognition for scholars in its Delta-V Scholar Program. Pritul joined Spacebourne as a Software Developer during the Winter 2025 cohort and contributed across engineering, user experience, and commercial strategy for CLARITY, the company's foundational AI engine for predicting satellite RF interference.
A problem at the intersection of space and software
The number of satellites in orbit is growing faster than at any point in history, driven largely by mega constellations. Every new spacecraft adds to an increasingly crowded radio frequency environment, and satellite operators and ground station networks are feeling the effects. CLARITY uses machine learning to predict where and when RF interference is likely to occur, giving operators actionable insight before a problem degrades their link. That insight might mean scheduling around a future interference window or changing frequencies ahead of time.
Pritul saw the opportunity to participate in the Delta-V program as a rare chance to contribute where space and software meet, and his work reflected that dual focus from the start.
Making orbital risk visible
One of Pritul's core contributions was assisting to create a satellite proximity heatmap, a visualization that shows how closely satellites are operating relative to one another and lets users quickly identify higher-risk zones. For operators managing complex schedules across many passes, the ability to see risk concentrations at a glance turns a dense dataset into a clear operational picture.
He also strengthened CLARITY's frontend, improving the experience for the operators and engineers who rely on the system, and supported the engineering and integration work needed to move CLARITY's machine learning detection workflow closer to a production-ready product. That integration work is often invisible to end users, but it is exactly what turns promising models into dependable tools.
Thinking like a leader
What set Pritul apart was his willingness to step beyond code. As part of his capstone, he developed frameworks for how CLARITY could be packaged and priced to scale across different customer types. Among all the pricing models submitted by Delta-V Scholars, Pritul's was recognized as the strongest.
Pricing is one of the hardest problems any early-stage company faces. It requires understanding the customer's pain, the value delivered, and how a product grows alongside its users. Seeing a software developer approach that challenge with the rigor of a strategist is precisely the kind of range the Delta-V program is designed to cultivate.
"Pritul showed us what it looks like when an engineer thinks about the whole business," said Krystal Khali, Founder and CEO of Spacebourne. "He built tools that make complex orbital data understandable, and then he asked how we get that value into customers' hands in a way that scales. That combination of technical skill and commercial instinct is rare at any career stage. He set a high bar as our first Capstone Award recipient, and we're proud to have him as part of the Spacebourne story."
About the Delta-V Scholar Program
The Delta-V Scholar Program gives emerging engineers, developers, and strategists hands-on experience building real products at an aerospace and AI startup. In spaceflight, delta-v is the measure of change in velocity a spacecraft needs to reach its destination. The program is built on the same idea: giving talented people the push they need to reach the next stage of their careers. Scholars work alongside Spacebourne's leadership team on live projects and receive direct mentorship. The Delta-V Capstone Award recognizes the scholar whose contributions had the greatest impact during their term.
